Hi, I’m Michele Avery

I'm a storyteller born and raised in the Republic of Brooklyn with a rising moon in Panamanian culture.

My imagination has allowed me over 15 years of experience in creative development within the entertainment and media space. I'm a multi-platform storyteller, from writing and producing to directing.  I've worked on 360 campaigns, long-form and short-form, on-air, branded content, and editorial content for well-known brands, publishers & public figures, including Food Network, Cooking Channel, OWN Network, and Warner Brothers Discovery.

I am a Co-Creative Director for ReRooted Productions, which speaks to Black Women and multicultural communities through authentic storytelling. Through ReRooted, I have been able to co-write, produce, and direct the play Crown of Times, performed in Boston, MA. And curate a cultural talkback series for the Museum of Science.

My goal as a storyteller is to have the audience connect and engage by stimulating the senses to evoke emotions.   I love all things cultural, from music and art to a good or not-so-good film, and I'm always searching for a good book. I am constantly seeking inspiration to improve my writing and visual skills

Nice to meet you!
